A 27-year-old man was on Wednesday sentenced to two years jail for trafficking 20 grams [less than an ounce] of cannabis.
Darel Sears pleaded guilty to having the illegal drugs in his possession on June 25 at Hunter Street, Albouystown Georgetown.
Sears of Albouystown told the court that he was “trying a lil thing” because he was financially frustrated.
“See what you can do for me,” Sears told Magistrate Faith McGusty as he explained that his job cleaning fish does not pay much and he needed money.
