Money Changer, daughter shot dead during robbery at Better Hope

A money changer identified as Aaron Latchman and his 18-year-old daughter Arian were shot dead by bandits Thursday.

The News Room understands that the medical student was alone at the Robert Street, North Better Hope, East Coast Demerara home when two bandits attacked her.

The robbery occurred in the peach house

During the ordeal, her father arrived home and the bandits shot both of them multiple times before escaping with an undisclosed sum of cash in a waiting vehicle.

Neighbours told the News Room that they heard the father and daughter yelling for help but they were too scared to assist them.

The brazen robbery occurred at around 15:00hrs. Neighbours also told the News Room that the father put up a fight with the bandits.
