Police are investigating an accident at Golden Grove, West Coast Berbice (WCB) which has left one person dead and another hospitalized.
According to information received, the two friends – Shemar Hercules of Bush Lot, WCB and 21-year-old Lincoln Carmichael of Seafield Village, WCB – were heading home from a club where they were partying.
The News Room understands that at about 05:00hrs on Sunday, the motorcar PSS2472 was proceeding at a fast rate when Hercules lost control and slammed into a utility pole on the public road.
As a result of the collision, Carmichael who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was pinned inside the car and subsequently succumbed at the scene.
Hercules is currently hospitalized at the Georgetown Public Hospital in a critical state.
