The National Stadium Tarmac will be a hive of activity on Saturday (July 13) with the second Platinum Auto Expo set to sizzle from 16:00h.
Organiser Mahendra ‘Raj’ Boodhoo said all systems are in place for a grand showdown, as there is heightened interest in the event, which has an on-stage entertainment aspect this year.
Reigning Chutney Monarch and second place finisher in the Soca competition, Steven Ramphal, will perform live, with musical entertainment provided by Travellers Sound and Lexus Blingerz.
Boodhoo indicated that to ensure maximum spectator participation, the entrance fee has been lowered from 2018 to G$1,000. Tickets would be available at the National Stadium on the day.
In addition to various display booths by corporate partners, there will be 32 categories in which vehicles can be entered. As was the case last year, a panel of judges would be assembled to decide on the winners of each category.
