A 45-year-old Thomas Street, Kitty resident was on Friday sentenced to three years jail and slapped with a $2M fine after he was found guilty of trafficking over 10 pounds of marijuana.
Paul Smith was sentenced by Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where the trial was held.
The court heard that Smith had 4.934 kilogrammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking on May 18, 2018, at Kitty.
The court heard that ranks found the illegal drugs at Smith’s house during a search.
