DeSinco Limited in Mahadeo’s corner for Reebok CrossFit Games

DeSinco Limited, the authorised distributor of the Degree line of products, has confirmed its alliance with Guyana’s fittest man, Dillon Mahadeo, who is at the tail-end of his preparations ahead of participation in the upcoming Reebok CrossFit Games in Wisconsin, USA.
Mahadeo and Delice Adonis earlier this year qualified for the prestigious Games after participating in a rigorous five-week, online-based fitness regime. The games will take place from July 29 to August 4.
On Thursday at Fitness Express on Sheriff Street, Senior Brand Manager of DeSinco Limited Sarah Savory and Marketing Director Alicia DeAbreu presented Mahadeo with the sponsorship ahead of the Games.
Savory said the sponsorship is under the Degree line of antiperspirant deodorants, which are popular among athletes and persons who embrace a fit and active lifestyle.
“Dillon allowed us to go on a small journey with him on his CrossFit profession and the first stop is at the 2019 Reebok Games in the US and we’re happy to be a part of it. It would be the first time Guyana would be part of the event so we decided to come onboard with Dillon. We’re confident that Dillon, just like Degree, won’t let us down,” Savory said.
Mahadeo spoke of the new partnership: “I look forward to working with them in the near and distant future. I’ll try my best to represent the Degree line of products under local, regional and international stages as diligently as possible.”
Mahadeo, a reigning and four-time Guyana Fitness Challenge champion, shared an update on his training regime, which is a bit different to what he is accustomed to.
“The intensity and volume (of training) has been increasing, so a lot more time and effort is being put into body composition, nutrition, sleep and really trying to dial in those things out of the gym, because in the gym we push our bodies to the limit so I’m trying to focus on the nutrition and recovery part,” Mahadeo explained.
He added, “There’s a lot of stuff that I’m not usually accustomed to, so I’m out of my comfort zone a lot. It’s a lot of running, swimming, biking, long endurance stuff, while still trying to maintain my strength. Everything is basically coming together right now. As I mentioned, the intensity has increased, so I’m just trying to stay focused with my mental game as well and be prepared as possible.”
The Reebok Games is the pinnacle of CrossFit globally and the prestigious title of ‘fittest on earth’ is at stake. While Mahadeo and Adonis will compete in the Individual category, there will be rivalry in the Team, Teen and Masters divisions.
