Daniel Wilson, a 19-year-old minibus tout, was sentenced to six months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to stealing cash from a minibus driver on July 10, 2019, at Lombard Street, Georgetown.

Wilson appeared before City Magistrate Faith McGusty and pleaded guilty to the charge which read that he stole $24,620 from Oslyn Roberts.

Police Prosecutor Annalisa Brummell told the court that the victim left his money in the door pocket of the driver seat when Wilson stole it.

The victim, who was busy with passengers at the time, raised an alarm and Wilson was nabbed by Police on patrol who found the money in his possession.

“You’re a young man, you don’t need to do these things,” Magistrate McGusty told Wilson.
