Hand-in-Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Company Limited has announced its partnership with Guyana’s champion CrossFit athletes, Dillon Mahadeo and Delice Adonis.

The duo earned the right to make a historic appearance at the Reebok CrossFit Games in Wisconsin, USA, from July 29 to August 4. This is the first time Guyana would be represented at the global event.

“The Hand-in-Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Company Limited is excited to see these young athletes represent Guyana for the first time in the Games and will continue to support the sports industry to enhance the development of youths in our communities and fulfil our corporate responsibility,” the company said.

Earlier this year, Mahadeo and Adonis qualified as the country’s male and female representative after going through a rigorous five-week, online-based fitness regime.

Mahadeo got the nod to fly the Golden Arrowhead after finishing as the fittest of 21 men who entered for a chance to represent the country at the event, while Adonis emerged top of a field of 10 females.

For the first time, the 2019 CrossFit Open crowned National Champions at the conclusion of the worldwide competition, marking CrossFit’s expansive and inclusive global nature and a proud victory for the 236 individuals who earned the right to represent their country at the 2019 Games.

The Reebok Games is the pinnacle of CrossFit globally and the prestigious title of ‘fittest on earth’ is at stake. While Mahadeo and Adonis will compete in the Individual category, there will be rivalry in the Team, Teen and Masters divisions.
