The ‘Lady Jags’, Guyana’s women’s football team, chalked up their second win in as many games in the Concacaf Under-20 Women’s Championships, beating Antigua and Barbuda 2-0 on Monday at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
The Guyanese had a goal in both halves, with captain Brianne Desa converting from the penalty spot in the 24th minute to secure the lead.
In the 60th minute, Kiana Khedoo doubled the advantage, scoring the final goal of the game to hand Guyana maximum points from the encounter.
This win follows the opening night victory over Bermuda by a similar margin at the same venue.
The Guyanese are locked on six points with St. Lucia at the top of Group A, but are ahead on goal difference.
