‘Lady Jags’ chalk up second win in U-20 Championships

The ‘Lady Jags’, Guyana’s women’s football team, chalked up their second win in as many games in the Concacaf Under-20 Women’s Championships, beating Antigua and Barbuda 2-0 on Monday at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.

The Guyanese had a goal in both halves, with captain Brianne Desa converting from the penalty spot in the 24^th minute to secure the lead.

In the 60^th minute, Kiana Khedoo doubled the advantage, scoring the final goal of the game to hand Guyana maximum points from the encounter.

This win follows the opening night victory over Bermuda by a similar margin at the same venue.

The Guyanese are locked on six points with St. Lucia at the top of Group A, but are ahead on goal difference.
