Guyana’s female footballers will look to continue their unbeaten run in the Concacaf Under-20 championships when they face a red-hot St. Lucia line-up on Friday evening from 20:30h.
The Lucians are also unbeaten, chalking up their third win of the tournament on Wednesday evening, a 3-1 thumping of Antigua and Barbuda, which puts them top of the table with nine points. In the other game on Wednesday, Bermuda crushed Suriname 6-1.
Guyana’s Lady Jags, with identical 2-0 victories over Bermuda and Antigua and Barbuda, sit in second spot on six points.
A win against St. Lucia on Friday at the National and Track and Field Centre at Leonora would put Guyana to the top of Group A with one more game against Suriname on Sunday from 16:00h.
St. Lucia also defeated Suriname 4-3 in their opening game, before edging Bermuda 2-1.
