U-15 football: Guyana beat Cayman Islands 2-0 to progress

Guyana recorded a second victory in Group E of the Concacaf Boys Under-15 Championship to finish second in the Group on Thursday.

Playing at the IMG Academy in Florida, the Guyanese defeated Cayman Islands 2-0, courtesy goals from Samuel Garnett (41’) and Rajan Ramdeholl (61’). The victory follows the 5-1 thumping of Bahamas on Tuesday. Prior to that the Guyana had lost 3-0 to Nicaragua.

Nicaragua, who topped Group E with seven points, one more than Guyana, defeated Bahamas 4-0 in the other Group game on Thursday.

Guyana’s next match is against the runner-up of Group G, St. Kitts and Nevis. That match is slated for tomorrow (Friday), starting at 09:00h.
