A talented Graphic designer of Bath Settlement lost his life following an accident on the Seafield Public Road, West Coast Berbice on Sunday evening.
Dead is 24-year-old Latchman Hansraj known as Kevin.
The News Room understands that he reportedly lost control of the motorcycle CJ 5154 and crashed into a 19-year-old pedestrian Franyels Rondon at around 22:40hrs.
Reports indicate that he was speeding at the time; while Hansraj fell on the roadway, the motorcycle continued to slide several feet away until it collided with a parked car, PVV 5754 on the northern side of the road.
The News Room was told Hansraj was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the young woman received minor injuries and was subsequently discharged from the hospital.
At the time of the accident, the young man was heading home from the Guyana Cup Horse race.
