Andre Kellman, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) was on Friday charged for sexual assault of an airport employee by kissing her without consent.

Kellman, 54, of Craig Street, Campbellville, Georgetown appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on $70,000 bail.

It is alleged that Kellman committed the act on July 30,2019 in an office at the airport. He was represented by attorney-at-law Glen Hanoman.

The matter was adjourned until  August 29,2019 and transferred to the Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Kellman was charged based on the advice of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) following a police investigation into the matter.

It is alleged that on July 30,2019, Kellman held the woman in his office at CJIA and kissed her on the mouth.

After the woman reported the matter to the authorities, she was ejected from the workplace and had her security passes revoked.

Kellman was sent on administrative leave when the investigation commenced.
