Teen stabbed to death after stopping to buy fish and chips


A Friendship, East Bank Demerara teen is now dead after he stopped at Diamond, also on the East Bank, late Sunday to buy fish and chips at a roadside stall.

Dead is 18-year-old Ravildo Williams.

Police said the incident occurred at around 23:20 hrs.

The Police in a statement said that the teen had earlier left a wedding reception and was heading home when he stopped to buy the fish and chips.

A group of men were subsequently seen fleeing the location and the teen was found with stab wounds to the left side of his body. He was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

One person is in police custody assisting with this Investigation.
