Two jailed for breaking into Regent St. store

Two men, who were reportedly caught red-handed breaking into an Auto Parts store on Regent Street, Bourda, Georgetown, were on Wednesday sentenced to one-year imprisonment by City Magistrate Anneth Singh.

Deon Brown, 38, of Charlotte Street, Georgetown and Teon Allyne, 20, of Leopold Street, Georgetown were jointly charged and were on trial.

They were found guilty of the charge which read that between April 26 – 27, 2019, at Regent Road Bourda, they broke and entered the business place of Vivekanand Ramotar and stole over $1.1M worth in items.
