Post Office warns of scam

The Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) is warning the public of a social media scam being circulated by unknown individuals or entities.

The Corporation, in a statement on Monday, said it does not have any promotion on WhatsApp, Instagram, Gmail, Facebook or any other platforms.

As such, the GPOC said it is not requesting payment of any kind or any sort of fees via these media, nor has it authorized anyone to collect monies in return for a competition prize.

The Corporation said it reserves the right to take legal action, including criminal action, against the scammers.

The entity is urging persons to contact the GPOC via its listed telephone numbers, email at [email protected] or Facebook at Guyana Post Office Corporation, if they receive any suspicious offer.
