Jamaica picked up a 4-0 away win in Group C of League B action in the Concacaf Nations League on Monday night at the Leonora National Track and Field Center in Leonora, Guyana.

The Reggae Boyz took the lead after DF Elvis Powell stormed into the box to beat the Guyana defense in the 14th minute.

Powell would not back off in attack, pushing forward and playing off Shamar Nicholson to complete his brace in the 26th minute.

Nicholson would continue to be the assist man after passing in a Kemar Lawrence cross for Dever Orgill to finish, putting Jamaica up 3-0 in the 44th minute.

Nicholson would connect again with Orgill for the Jamaica’s fourth goal in the 54th minute, a peculiar play in which Nicholson’s first shot rebounded off the woodwork and came back to the Jamaican forward to be played for the assist.

Guyana’s offense would not be devoid of chances in the second half; however, Jamaica’s goalkeeper Andre Blake proved too big a hurdle to overcome.

With the win, Jamaica expand their lead at the top of the group in points and goal difference. Guyana drop to third in the group with this result and the win earlier in the day by Antigua and Barbuda. (Concacaf)
