Crown Eco golf tournament set for Saturday at Lusignan
Crown Mining and Supplies, through its line of Crown Eco products, will sponsor this Saturday’s (September 14) golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Course, East Coast Demerara.
The company will use the opportunity to promote its eco-friendly appliances, lighting and air conditioning units, while providing an opportunity for the country’s golfers to showcase their skills.
The event, which was officially launched on Thursday at the company’s North Road office, will tee off at 12:30h.
President of the Lusignan Golf Club, Aleem Hussain, who received the sponsorship from Junior Director Avashti Persaud, expressed gratitude to the company for the support.
“As always, the Crown group of companies’ tournament is expected to attract a large field of golfers and spectators and the public is invited to come experience the thrill of the game and the ambience of the Lusignan Golf Course,” Hussain said.
He added, “The company’s massive, newly expanded headquarters is home to their new division of eco-friendly products, such as air-conditioning units, refrigerators, and all types of solar lighting that fit any need and budget. With Guyana heading towards a green economy, Crown Eco, always the leader, has stepped into a void to ensure that electrical power will no longer pose an issue for Guyanese both in the city and hinterland areas.”
Persaud said, “For the competition Saturday we’re excited to see the turnout. We want to encourage everyone to take your Saturday afternoon off to come down to enjoy, to have some fun, whether it’s to compete, whether to look or to support, we would love to see you all there.”
Players will compete in three Flights, namely 0-9, 10-18 and 19-28. Prizes will be given to the top performers of the various Flights, as well as Longest Drive and Nearest-to-the-Pin.
