Talismanic national youth player Nicholas McArthur showcased more of his potential with a stellar hat-trick for Fruta Conquerors Under-20, who stunned Georgetown Football Club 5-1 when the Limacol Football Tournament continued Saturday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

The attacking mid-fielder, who now has five goals in two matches, again led the youthful exuberance of a talented Conquerors unit, who disposed of Northern Rangers 4-1 in their opening match.

It could be more than coincidence that the same persons who scored in that match came to the fore front again, against arguably a tougher opposition. McArthur netted in the 1st, 8th and 59th minutes, while Rushawan Ritch (11th) and Ravon Bailey (49th) made conversions.

Kelvin Moore scored for GFC in the 14th.

In the earlier match, Camptown and Black Pearl were still left searching for their first win, having drew 1-1. Black Pearl took the lead, compliments of Peter Smith in the 36th, while Jamal Codrington equalised in the 54th.

Matches continue Tuesday, with Beacons facing GT Panthers from 19:00h, followed by Buxton Stars and Northern Rangers from 21:00h. With four groups of four, the top teams in each group will progress to the quarter-finals.

At stake will be $400,000 for first, while second to fourth will pocket $200,000, $100,000 and $50,000 respectively. Regent Street establishment, WJ Enterprise, is the other sponsor on board.
