Several hinterland and coastland communities are being represented at the Everest ground, the venue for this weekend’s Indigenous Heritage Games.
A fair-sized crowd gathered at the venue on Friday as the preliminary round of male and female cricket and football was contested against the backdrop of several booths displaying art and craft and traditional Amerindian food and beverage.
Over the next few days, there will be rivalry in Archery and Volleyball at the venue and Swimming at the National Aquatic Centre, Liliendaal.
