Blankenburg flooded after major over-topping
The community of Blaneknburg is flooded after a major sea defence breach
Residents of Hibiscus Scheme Blankenburg on the West Coast of Demerara woke up to flooded houses at 4am Saturday following a major over-topping at the sea defence in the community.
The over-topping was as a result of high tides. Police are at the scene to help residents vacate the area.
