Local beverage giant, Banks DIH Limited, is once again the main sponsor of the eighth annual King Medas/Pansy Adonis Foundation Junior Olympic Games, which will take place from Thursday to Sunday at the Lusignan Community Centre ground on the East Coast of Demerara.

The company presented its sponsorship cheque during a simple ceremony on Wednesday at Thirst Park during which Shenisa Fredericks, Brand Manager of Triskits Crackers and Cookies made the presentation to Andy Medas, Founder/Promoter of the event.

Banks DIH Limited Communications Manager Troy Peters said that the company was extremely delighted to be sponsoring the athletics showcase under the following brands – Triskits Crackers and Cookies, Rain Forest Waters and Malta Supreme non-alcoholic beverage.

“This is a very wonderful programme organised by the King Medas Foundation and we are delighted to be on Board once again in a big way as we remain committed to the development of athletics in Guyana,” he added.

Also present at the handing over were Colin King, Waters Brand Manager, Shaquille Adonis and Ras Kent of the King Medas/Pansy Adonis Foundation. Medas expressed gratitude to Banks for its continued support of the Games.

The four-day Games will feature track and field events, relays and a road race on Sunday for athletes three years old to Masters. Starting time each day is 09:45h.
