The community of Mibicuri, Black Bush Polder in Berbice, has been shaken by two suicides which occurred on Tuesday.
In one case, 29-year-old Amar Jeffrey consumed a poisonous substance after forcing his wife to drink it. He died on Tuesday morning while his wife, 29-year-old Sherry Satnarine was hospitalized.
In another case, Sheeleeza Hussein, a mother of two children ages 8 and 3, locked herself in her bedroom and drank a poisonous substance and later died.
