Police are hunting for a suspect who shot a 27-year-old man to his abdomen at about 02:30h on Sunday.
In a statement, the Police said Alanka Hompus of 644 Best Village, West Coast Demerara (WCD) was shot once in the left region of his abdomen by an occupant of a passing motorcar.
At the time of the shooting, Hompus was walking in the company of others on the Crane Public Road, WCD,
The victim is hospitalized in a critical condition, Police said.
The investigation continues.
