The Banks DIH Limited and Citizens Bank Breast Cancer Awareness Golf tournaments will tee off this weekend at the Lusignan Golf Club as golfers prepare for the Guyana Open next weekend.
The Citizens Bank tournament will take place on Saturday (October 19) from 12:30h and the Banks DIH competition will be held on Sunday (October 20) from 08:30h.
During the official launch of the tournament Friday at Banks DIH Limited Conference Room at Thirst Park, the Company’s Communications Manager Troy Peters said that both Banks DIH Limited and Citizens Bank are very active corporate supporters of the Lusignan Golf Club.
He said the tournaments are being used as a warm up for the Guyana Open and will also highlight Breast Cancer Awareness being observed this month. Peters welcomed the foreign players to Guyana and extended best wishes to the local golfers.
President of the Lusignan Golf Club, Aleem Hussain thanked the two companies for their continued support of golf locally. He said the players will be wearing pink ribbons in observance of Breast Cancer Month during both events.
Also present at the launch were LGC Public Relations Officer Guy Griffith and Gavin Todd and Mark Lashley, two of Banks DIH Limited executives who are ardent golfers.
