In another demonstration of its commitment to foster partnerships for the development of sports in Guyana, ANSA McAL Trading on Thursday morning confirmed its sponsorship of a one-day golf tournament, billed for Saturday (November 9) at the Lusignan Golf Course.
At the official media launch at ANSA McAL’s Head Office at Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, Corporate Communications Officer Treiston Joseph, Brand Coordinator Timothy Sammy and President of the Lusignan Golf Club Aleem Hussain spoke about the alliance.
The competition, which will commence at 11:00h, is being sponsored under Dewar’s Blended Scotch Whiskey, distributed by the company.
This tournament is the third such ANSA McAL has sponsored for the year. They entity previously co-sponsored the Lusignan Open and an invitational through Suzuki Motors.
Hussain expressed gratitude to Managing Director Troy Cadogan for the continued support of his company to golf. Cadogan is also a member of the Lusignan Golf Club and an active player on the local circuit.
Both Sammy and Joseph expressed pleasure at their company being involved in the development of the sport through their third tournament for 2019.
The tournament will feature three Flights, namely 0-9, 10-18, 19-28. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each category. The players with the Longest Drive and Nearest-to-the-Pin will also receive accolades.
