Police, Prison Service seize illegal items from Mazaruni Prison

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force and Prison Service on Wednesday conducted a routine search of the Mazaruni Prison.

Police reported that the following items were found:

1. 3 sim cards
2. 10 cell phones
3. 59 packs of cigarette
4. 6 pairs of scissors
5. 11 improvised weapons
6. 8 lighters
7. 2 smoking utensils
8. 8 chargers
9. 8 pieces of broken mirrors
10. A quantity of bamboo and fronto
11. 1404 grams of cannabis.
