Following an operation in Alberttown, Georgetown, from the Police Narcotics Branch, two men who were busted with a quantity of ecstasy pills were on Friday charged before City Magistrate Leron Daly for drug trafficking.

Kurt Singh, a 31-year-old shopkeeper of Fifth Street, Alberttown, denied that charge. He was nabbed with 181 ecstasy pills.

It is alleged that on November 7, 2019, he trafficked 99.35 grammes of the amphetamine type pills.

The father of two was released on $100,000 bail with the condition that he reports to the Police Narcotics Branch every Monday.

Haynes was remanded to prison since he was previously slapped with a similar charge.

The men will return to court on December 13, 2019.
