A 54-year-old security guard of Patentia Squatting Area, West Bank Demerara (WBD) was killed in an accident on the Timehri public road, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on Friday.
Police said Harrichan Ramsundar was struck down as he was walking south along the western side of the road by a speeding motorcar.
The accident occurred at about 19:00hrs.
As a result of the collision, Harichand received multiple injuries about his body and head: the driver sped away.
He was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is currently at Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting a post mortem.
