Top Cop graduates with Masters in Public Administration

Commissioner of Police Leslie James DSS, DSM, on Saturday, graduated from the University of Guyana with a Commonwealth Masters in Public Administration.

A press release from the Police Force noted that Mr. James during his visit to the various Policing Divisions at the time he was pursuing his Masters, urged the ranks to pursue higher learning and commended those who had already did so.

Prior to reaching this milestone, Mr James also has a Diploma in Public Management (1996-1998) and a Bachelor of Law (L.L.B) (BSC) (1999-2006) from the University.

The 52-year-old was appointed as Police Commissioner on August 30, 2018.

He has also completed numerous courses locally and internationally, as follows: –

2014 – LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT (6 MODULES) TRANSFORMATION LEADERSHIP CONSULTANCY, Guyana.
