The Guyana Badminton Association’s (GBA) Trophy Stall-sponsored annual age group tournament was played off at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, on Saturday, with champions crowned in the Under-9 to Under-17 categories.
The GBA said it is extremely pleased to see the interest in the number of players who turned out to take part in this tournament.
“We are extremely pleased also to see players from Linden taking part from the Mackenzie High School. The GBA donated a number of equipment last August to the Sports Coordinator of the school for them to start back Badminton and the programme is already being develop there,” the GBA said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Under-19 Boys and Girls Singles and Open Men and Ladies Doubles will be held in December and all players are asked to start preparing for the last local tournament of 2019.
