Man accused of attempted murder caught after three years on the run

After being on the run from the Police for over three years, Ryan Lowe was on Tuesday charged with the attempted murder of his co-worker in 2016.

Lowe, who resides at Chapel and Durban Streets Georgetown, appeared before the Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and was not required to plead to the charge which alleged that November 23, 2016, at Eccles, Dump Site, East Bank Demerara, he wounded Leroy Cummings.

According to reports, Lowe and Cummings are garbage collectors and on the day in question they ended up in an argument over some missing items.

It is alleged that Lowe stabbed Cummings several times and escaped. He was finally caught by the Police last week. He was remanded to prison until December 11, 2019.
