A 20-year-old labourer was Wednesday sentenced to three months imprisonment by City Magistrate Rhondel Weaver for escaping from the East La Penitence police station on July 8, 2019.
Noel Seerathan of East La Penitence Squatting Area was found guilty at the end of the trial. Seerathan is currently serving a six months sentence for chopping a man to his head on the same day in question.
He escaped from the Police station the same day he was arrested by the Police for the incident. He was on the run for a week before he was recaptured.
