A man who was riding his motorcycle without any headlamps on the Ituni trail on Saturday night met his demise when he crashed into a car.
Dead is Godfrey Willis of Goat Farm, Ituni Region Ten.
Police Headquarters revealed that Willis was proceeding east on the northern side of the trail on motorcycle CG 8386 when he collided with PPP 651 which proceeding in the opposite direction.
The accident occurred at around 19:00hrs. Police said Willis received injuries about the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ituni Health Centre by the Medex on duty.
The car was being driven by a 47-year-old mechanic of Kwakwani Park, Berbice River, who was arrested and is assisting with the investigation.
Both vehicles were lodged at the Ituni Police Station.
