Essequibo resident allegedly busted with cocaine remanded


A 40-year-old Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast resident appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court Tuesday, charged with the possession of 2.5 kilograms (almost 6lbs) of cocaine.
Police Headquarters revealed that Dwayne Gildharie on Monday evaded law enforcement at Charity and threw the bag containing the cocaine out of his car window.

Gildarie pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him. He was remanded to prison until January 2020.
