Tiger Rentals (Guyana), a company which has roots in Trinidad and Tobago, is the latest corporate entity to join in support of the KFC Goodwill Under-18 School Football Tournament.

Their support is directed towards the Trinidad’s Shiva Boys’ Hindu College, who are the defending champions of the tournament. The second edition of the tournament will make its start on Saturday (December 14) at the Guyana Football Federation’s National Training Centre at Providence.

In fact, the next three plays days, December 16, 18 and 20, will be held at the all-weather surface, while the final is slated for Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

The Trinidadians are expected to arrive in Guyana Friday afternoon via the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, and according to Shane Singh, Operations Manager for Tiger Rentals, though their support is for their home-based team, they hope to form alliances with teams in Guyana.

With the support, Co-Director of the Petra Organisation, Troy Mendonca, hoped the tournament morphs into something of great significance in the region.

Meanwhile, USL Montjoly of French Guiana has withdrawn from the competition due to the unavailability of managerial personnel and have been replaced with the third placed team from the Guyoil League, Marian Academy.

Action on day one will see Annai Secondary playing Annandale from 13:00h, followed by Lodge Secondary and Waramadong from 15:00h.

Tiger Rentals, whose mother company is Tiger Tanks Trinidad Unlimited (referred to as “TTTU”) formed in October 2003, is understood be the largest supplier of Logistic Cargo Carrying Equipment in the region, supplying to all of the major energy companies.
