Guyanese couple killed in Canada accident

A Guyanese couple was on Saturday killed in a crash in Ontario, Canada.

Ramnauth Seebachan called Buddy, 65, and his wife Padmini Seebachan called Anita were killed when a speeding vehicle crashed into their van on Highway 401.

Ramnauth hailed from Leguan Island, Essequibo while Padmini hailed from 64 Village Corentyne Berbice.

The News Room understands that the couple were on their way home after visiting their daughter and stopped on the highway when the vehicle crashed into them.

According to a release from Canada’s Ontario Provincial Police Highway Safety Division, the couple was pronounced dead on the scene.

The couple was said to be inseparable, a relative said in a Facebook post.
