ODI: West Indies limit Ireland to 180

Led by Alzarri Joseph’s four-wicket haul, West Indies restricted Ireland to 180 in the first ODI at Kensington Oval, Barbados, on Tuesday.

Winning the toss and electing to bat in the day/night contest, the Irishmen found the going tough, slipping to 88-6 by the 23rd over, before the lower-order rallied to bat out 46.1 overs.

Joseph bagged 4-32 off 10 overs and was backed up by leg-spinner Hayden Walsh Jr. with 2-30 and left-arm seamer Sheldon Cottrell with 2-39. Keemo Paul and Roston Chase picked up a wicket each.

Lorcan Tucker topscored with 31 and Mark Adair made 29 for Ireland.
