Ramdhani siblings place third at ACAC badminton tournament


The Ramdhani siblings, Narayan and Priyanna, placed third in their respective category at the 2019/2020 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Badminton tournament at King’s University in Canada on Sunday.

Playing for King’s University, Narayan got third in both the Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles, while Priyanna, representing Olds College, finished third in the Women’s Singles.

Men’s Singles (Seeded No.2):

Gained a bye in the First Round.

Defeated John Li of Nait 21-16, 22-20 in the Quarter-Final

Lost to Raymond Kim of Nait 21-18, 21-17 in the Semi-Final

Defeated Smit Patel of Nait 21-13, 21-16 to win the Third Place

Men’s Doubles:

Defeated Rylan Head and Noah Jeffery of Olds College 21-15, 21-10 in the Quarter-Final

Lost to Alex Fung and Raymond of King’s 21-15, 21-10 in the Semi-Final

Defeated Tyson Tsen and Braxton Wong of Concordia 21-17, 21-15 to win the Third Place


Ladies Singles: (Seeded No.3)

Gained a bye in the First Round

Defeated Kaitlyn Gee of Nait 21-4, 21-7 in the Quarter-Final

Lost to Johnna Rymes of Concordia 21-9, 21-4 in the Semi-Final

Defeated Cecilia Wolski of King’s 21-11, 21-13 to win the Third Place
