Guyana Jaguars have extended their lead to 278 with all 10 wickets in hand by stumps on day two of their third round Regional Four-day clash against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.

After gaining a massive lead of 225 on first innings, Jaguars closed the day on 53 without loss with Tagenarine Chanderpaul on 29 and Chandrapaul Hemraj on 22.

The day started with Jaguars extending their overnight 263-6 to 323 all out with Anthony Bramble getting 91 and Bryan Charles taking 5-87.

Red Force batsmen were then blown away by pacer Nial Smith, who claimed 5-12, and left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul with 4-29 as they were bowled out for 98.

With the option of enforcing the follow-on, the Jaguars decided to have a second bat and the openers justified that move by batting undefeated to the close.
