Firefighters were called to the Strip Restaurant and Bar located at the Giftland Mall in Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown following reports of a fire Tuesday afternoon.
The building has been evacuated and from all indications, the fire seems to have been contained and under control.
It is unclear at this time what caused the fire. The News Room’s Isanella Patoir is at the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.
