Eastern Airlines, rebranded from Dynamic Airways, will commence flights from Guyana to New York from March 05.

According to a statement from the company, it is starting “non-stop flights to underserved markets around the globe.”

With a promise of affordable tickets incomparable incentives, the airline will on Monday host an event at the Marriot Hotel, Kingston, Georgetown, where persons desirous of learning more about the airline can do so.

“This event will provide an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. We know that everyone wants to experience the wonders of travel.  The goal of Eastern Airlines is to bring back the nostalgic travel experience,”

Dynamic Airways ended its operation in Guyana 2017 after declaring bankruptcy.

In March 2018, the airline announced it had exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and was seeking to restart its charter operations using the Eastern Airlines brand.

The Guyana operations were riddled with complaints of delays and other inefficiencies and passengers were left stranded when the operations folded.

The airline had applied since December 2018 to operate in Guyana but was denied for a number of reasons.

The issues were eventually addressed and it was granted approval in November to begin flights to Guyana.

The company was required to lodge bonds totalling US$450,000 with the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) before it commences its scheduled flights.
