An arrest warrant has been issued for 42-year-old Ceon Cantzlaar of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, who was found guilty of exposing his genitals and sexually assaulting one of his female clients.

The barber was charged in October 2019 and was released on $50,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, however, he never returned court for his trial which subsequently commenced in his absence.

On Tuesday, Magistrate Faith McGusty found him guilty of the charges and sentenced him to two years imprisonment on each of the charges. The Magistrate ordered that the sentences run consecutively which means that Cantzlaar should spend four years behind bars.

The facts against the barber stated that while the victim was having her hair cut, Cantzlaar played explicit/vulgar music during which he pulled out his erect penis from his pants and showed it to her. It is further alleged that he touched the woman’s thigh and attempted to kiss her.

It is further alleged that after the woman left the barbershop, Cantzlaar sent her several voice notes on WhatsApp saying that he was sorry for exposing himself.
