Parika cocaine bust: Alberttown businessman wanted, two arrested
The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) has issued a wanted bulletin for Ryan Pemberton known as ‘Sancho’, a businessman of Alberttown, Georgetown who threatened to kill CANU ranks after they intercepted a Fibre Glass vessel at Parika Backdam, East Bank Essequibo Saturday night.
A press release from CANU Sunday noted that two men who were found on board the vessel have been arrested; they have been identified as Latchman Sankar known as ‘Jack’ and Muneswar Dusrajh.
According to CANU, the darkly painted go-fast vessel was intercepted with 25 parcels of suspected cocaine lodged in its bow totalling 27.866 kilograms (61 lbs).
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Pemberton is asked to make contact with the Unit on 226-0431.
