Guyana Jaguars have made two changes for sixth round action in the West Indies Four-day Championship against hosts Jamaica Scorpions, starting Thursday (February 27) at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium.

Fit-again Shimron Hetmyer, by virtue of making the West Indies T20 team to Sri Lanka, will miss this round. Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo “was not selected for this round”, according to the Guyana Cricket Board.

They have been replaced by batsman Akshaya Persaud and left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie.

The squad reads: Leon Johnson (captain), Vishaul Singh, Anthony Bramble, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Christopher Barnwell, Akshaya Persaud, Raymon Reifer, Kevin Sinclair, Veerasammy Permaul, Gudakesh Motie, Keon Joseph and Nial Smith.

Five-time defending champions Guyana Jaguars, with a loss and a draw in their last two games, are in second spot behind Barbados Pride, while Jamaica Scorpions are third after back-to-back wins in the last two rounds.

In the other two sixth round games, Barbados Pride will have home advantage against Windward Islands Volcanoes and Leeward Islands Hurricanes will face Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.
