The bound and battered body of a popular Rose Hall Town businessman was discovered Thursday morning in a clump of bushes aback of Rose Hall Town, Region Six, a short distance from his home and place of business.
He has been identified as “Sham” who operated a supermarket at the JC Chandisingh School Street.
The News Room understands that the businessman’s feet were tied and his body bore marks of violence.
It is believed that the businessman was attacked and beaten to death while on his usual evening jog; he was found in his exercise apparel.
The News Room was reliably informed that the perpetrator took the keys to the businessman’s house which they subsequently ransacked and stole a safe among other valuables.
Investigators are at the scene and the News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
