Alabama Trading on Thursday donated three dugouts, two for players and one for referees, to football coordinators Petra Organisation at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

At the simple handing-over ceremony, it was revealed the three dugouts are worth approximately $350,000 and are branded Alabama Trading.

Proprietor of Alabama Trading, Wooed Philips, stated he was most happy to play his role in helping to develop the sport and hopes it goes a long way in improving the standard at the ground.

In response, Co-Director of the Petra Organisation, Troy Mendonca thanked Phillips for the support and said the dugouts will boost the capacity of the organisation and help them to run better programmes, which will add great value to their future endeavours.

Earlier this month, Regent Street business W.J. Enterprise extended its partnership with the Petra Organisation. The distribution company, which is the sole distributor of Croxley Paper in Guyana, continued its support by donating a printer, file cabinet and a supply of Croxley Paper.

The Petra group is the pioneer of several youth football tournaments in the city and has been the backbone of senior football in Georgetown in recent years.
