Otis Pearson known as “Otisha” appeared before City Magistrate Sherdel Isccas-Marcus charged with robbery using personal violence.

Pearson pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on November 10, 2019, at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, he robbed Dean Peters of $100,000 with the use of personal violence.

The Prosecutor objected to Pearson being released on bail citing the seriousness of the charge, however, his objections were overruled and Pearson was released on $70,000 bail with the condition that he report to the Kitty Police Station every Friday and keep away from the victim.

The case is adjourned to March 16.  In 2018, Pearson was committed to stand trial at the High Court for engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy.

The decision was made by Magistrate Fabayo Azore following a paper committal. He will remain on $300,000 bail until his case comes up at the High Court.
