Pride extend lead; Jaguars remain second

Barbados Pride have extended their gap on Guyana Jaguars after sixth round action in the West Indies Four-Day Championship concluded last weekend. Both teams recorded comprehensive wins in the latest round, which concluded on Sunday.

Pride defeated Windward Islands Volcanoes by 127 runs and Jaguars defeated Jamaica Scorpions by seven wickets. Pride moved to 108.2 points following their fifth win, while Jaguars now have 79 points after a third victory.

Scorpions are third on 61.2, followed by Volcanoes on 56.8, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force on 54.8 and Leeward Islands Hurricanes in the cellar position on 40.4.

Round seven would start on Thursday with Jaguars facing Hurricanes at Providence, Volcanoes versus Scorpions in Grenada and Red Force versus Pride in Trinidad.
