The Region Four Returning Officer (RO) Clairmont Mingo has been rushed to hospital after he complained of feeling unwell.
“Confirmed…RO is unwell and is being rushed to hospital,” Yolanda Ward, Public Relations Officer of GECOM told the media via WhatsApp.
A local observer told the News Room that Mr Mingo was seen vomiting at the Returning Office, which is situated at High and Hadfield Streets.
The Returning Officer last evening suspended verification of the ballots for Region Four and was due to restart at 9:00 a.m. but the process has been delayed.
Region Four is the country’s largest voting region.
